Terms of Service
These terms cover using TickTap to buy tickets as a fan, or to list and sell tickets as an organiser. By using the service you agree to them.

About TickTap
TickTap is a ticketing service operated by a sole trader trading as “TickTap” (we're a new business and not yet a limited company). TickTap acts as the ticket seller of record for events listed by organisers. When you buy a ticket, your contract of sale is with TickTap; your contract to attend the event is with the organiser, who is responsible for running it.
Money collected for tickets is held in a separate holding account, kept apart from our own business costs. Funds owed to organisers (the ticket face value) are ring-fenced and paid out to them after the event; we only keep the booking fee.
Buying tickets
- The face price is shown up front. A booking fee is added at checkout and shown before you pay. The fee rate drops as your order grows (10% for one ticket, down to 5% for six or more), with a minimum of 2% + 30p.
- Payment is taken at the time of purchase via Stripe. Your ticket PDF is issued immediately and can be downloaded, and emailed to you if you choose.
- Each ticket carries a unique QR code valid for one entry. Duplicated or screenshotted tickets may be refused if already scanned.
Refunds and cancellations
- The booking fee is non-refundable in all cases, including if the organiser cancels, reschedules or changes the event. Any refund covers the ticket price only.
- If we cannot issue your ticket after taking payment, we refund the ticket price.
- If an event is cancelled, you are entitled to a refund of the ticket price.
- If an event is rescheduled or materially changed and you cannot attend, you may request a refund of the ticket price within 14 days of the change being announced.
- Tickets are otherwise generally non-refundable for change of mind, which is standard for live events. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Full details, including how to request a refund, are in our Refund Policy.
Organiser accounts
- To list and sell tickets you must create a free organiser account. You provide your name or organisation, a contact name, email, phone number and a password, and you can add a profile photo and short bio.
- At sign-up you complete an on-screen verification check to confirm you're a real person. We may carry out further checks before approving your events, and every event is reviewed by us before it goes on sale.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything done through your account. Tell us straight away if you think it has been accessed without your permission.
- Keep your account details accurate and up to date. We may suspend or close accounts that provide false information, break these terms, or are used for fraud.
For organisers
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your event listing and for running the event.
- TickTap collects payment on your behalf and pays out your takings after the event, minus the booking fee. For now we arrange payout details with you directly; where automated payouts are offered, your bank details are held by our payment provider (Stripe), not by TickTap.
- You can see your own events, live ticket sales and takings in your organiser dashboard.
- You must have the right to sell tickets for the event and must comply with applicable laws, including consumer-protection and anti-touting rules.
Organisers are also bound by our Organiser Agreement.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, including attempting to defraud, resell tickets in breach of these terms, or interfere with the site's operation.
Liability
We provide the service with reasonable care. To the extent permitted by law, TickTap is not liable for the conduct of organisers or for events themselves. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows the current version. For significant changes we'll give reasonable notice where we can, and continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer, including any right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
