What TickTap does
TickTap is a ticketing service run by a sole trader in the UK. We provide event listings, take payments and issue tickets. We don't judge organisers or attendees on their personal opinions, beliefs or politics.
Views and activity away from TickTap
We don't monitor, investigate or take action over what organisers or attendees say or do away from TickTap, such as on social media, in the press or in their private lives. We won't remove an event, cancel tickets or close an account because of someone's views or lawful activity elsewhere.
The only exceptions are where the law requires us to act, where we're asked to by the police or another lawful authority, or where something away from TickTap is directly connected to a TickTap event, order or account, for example fraud involving TickTap tickets or a credible threat to safety at a TickTap event.
What we do act on
Our Terms and Organiser agreement still apply in full to everything on TickTap. We review and act on:
- event listings, images and descriptions published on TickTap;
- events that are illegal, or that break our terms;
- payments, chargebacks, fraud and misuse of tickets;
- reviews and messages sent through TickTap;
- anything we're required to act on by law.
If something on TickTap breaks these rules, we may ask for changes, pause or remove a listing, or close an account, as set out in our terms.
How this differs from some other platforms
Some ticketing platforms take a wider approach. For example, Eventbrite's help article How Eventbrite Moderates Content says that when it reviews content, its team looks at the content "as well as off-platform information when appropriate", and may then take action including unpublishing event listings. TickTap does not take that approach. We act on what happens on TickTap, as described above.
Reporting a concern
If you think an event or listing on TickTap is illegal or breaks our terms, please contact us or email bookings@ticktap.co.uk. If someone is in immediate danger, call 999.
